Little Sahara is roughly 60,000 acres of dunes, trails, and sagebrush flats built from a river delta that emptied into Lake Bonneville 15,000 years ago. The dunes still migrate five to nine feet a year.
Two things trip people up here, and neither is the terrain. Camping is first-come, first-served with no reservations at all. And your BLM entry fee has nothing to do with your Utah OHV registration. You need both, and the non-resident permit can take about 20 business days to arrive.

Cell service is limited and unreliable across the recreation area, and the Wi-Fi at the Visitor Center only reaches Recreation.gov. Sort your permits, fuel, and water before you turn off the highway.

Flag, helmet, and a scout
Whip flags 8 feet minimum. DOT helmets for under-18 ATV and motorcycle riders. Check the backside of every crest.
