KNOLLS ยท TOWNS

Stock up
before the exit.

The riding area is open desert. Everything the trip needs gets bought on the way.

From the Salt Lake side

BLM puts Knolls about 80 miles west of Salt Lake City. Tooele, on the way for many riders, has Mountain West Medical Center and its 24-hour emergency department at 2055 North Main Street.

Wendover and the salt flats

Wendover sits on the Nevada line farther west on I-80. BLM's Bonneville Salt Flats, about 120 miles west of Salt Lake City, are reached from I-80 Exit 4 near Wendover, with no day-use fee. Driving on the salt is permitted except during seasonal closures when the salt is wet.
