UTAH DUNES GUIDE · PHOTO CREDITS

Real places,
credited.

Every photograph on these pages shows the place it illustrates, and every one is credited here with its source and license.

Destination illustrations

The four destination overview heroes are original AI-generated illustrations in the Dune Guide Field Manual style, commissioned by Dune Guide USA. Their captions identify them as illustrations; documentary photographs are credited separately below.

The 31 photographs

Each photograph was checked against its source page for subject, photographer and license before it was placed. Creative Commons attribution and share-alike terms stay attached to each work, and resized copies are marked as changed.

How photographs are chosen

Only licenses that allow commercial use are accepted: public domain, CC0, CC BY and CC BY-SA. A photograph has to show the place it sits beside. Where no rights-cleared photograph of a place exists, the page goes without one rather than borrowing a picture of somewhere else.

Photographs in the Little Sahara section are credited on that section's own credits page.
