Thirty-four park sites split between a dry loop and a water-and-electric loop, plus a first-come BLM campground a short drive north.

The park lists sites 1 to 22 as its older south campground with no hookups, and sites 23 to 34 as the newer north campground with water and electricity.

Visit Utah describes the campgrounds as having hot showers and flush toilets. Reserve through Utah State Parks; the park warns there is no overflow parking area and no refunds for weather-related cancellations.

Ponderosa Grove, the BLM option

Ponderosa Grove Campground

A year-round BLM campground at 6,300 feet, a short distance north of the dunes, that became popular with OHV riders.

What to bring

  • Water for people and machines, especially at Ponderosa Grove, which has none
  • Warm layers: at 6,000 feet the nights cool off even after a hot day
  • Shade and sun protection for summer, when the park reports sand temperatures that can hit 140 degrees
  • A fire plan that follows current orders; check Utah Fire Info before you light anything

Can you reserve a campsite at Coral Pink Sand Dunes?

Yes. Park campsites are reserved through Utah State Parks. The park has no overflow parking area, so reserve before you go.

Does Coral Pink Sand Dunes have hookups?

Sites 23 to 34 in the newer north campground have water and electricity. Sites 1 to 22 have no hookups.
