Inside the park you follow Utah State Parks' guidelines. Everywhere you ride, Utah OHV law comes with you.
Inside the park
- No OHVs on the westside beaches, in the boat parking lot or in Westside Campground
- Park only in designated areas
- An orange whiptail flag on every OHV
- No glass on sandy beaches or the cliff-jumping rocks
- A $15 permit, good for five days, to fly a drone

Riders
The park's guidelines repeat Utah's helmet law: riders under 18 must wear a properly fitted DOT-rated helmet on Type I ATVs, snowmobiles and motorcycles on public land. Utah strongly recommends helmets for everyone. Riders under 18 also need an approved youth certificate and direct adult supervision.

Certificates and permits
Every operator 18 or older needs Utah's free online OHV education certificate, which the state has required since January 1, 2023. Machines from outside Utah need a $35 non-resident permit, valid 12 months and bought online.

Equipment
- A muffler with an approved spark arrestor
- Lights on between sunset and sunrise
- No riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs
